Welcome to Coustom Japan…

Lars vor 9 Stunden: Lars is back in Busan AGAIN. What’s wrong Japan? I thought we were cool…

what? shit man what happened?

Lars um 14:09 am 27. Januar
Well…I’m not completely sure to be honest.
When I went up to the counter to get my visa renewed, the man probably saw that it said “Intended Length of Stay: 3 Months”
I could here him say under his breath something like: “あ、ちょっと長いだね。。。” (Deutsch: bisschen lange, nicht wahr…?)
Then I was told to wait for a moment.
They asked me to show them what was in my bag and they patted me down.
Then I was interviewed by an immigration guy with a translator on speakerphone.
He asked me a bunch of stuff, some of the questions were really irritating actually.
For example, when I told him about WWOOF (which he seemed suspicious of) he asked me: “You say you’re interested in Organic Farming. Well, there is a man in Japan that is famous for being an organic farmer, do you know who he is?”
He also found it quite funny that I am planning on going to university next year but I don’t have a ID card yet and I don’t know what I’m majoring in.
The whole process was really frustrating.
When it was over he told me that I could either go back to Korea or try and appeal.

Samuel um 14:18 am 27. Januar
Haha. Oh man, too bad you didn’t know who the famous organic farmer was. Obviously your a terrorist

Lars um 14:18 am 27. Januar
I wanted to contact Genki JACS and ask them what they thought I should do, but they would not allow me to use their phones
My cellphone was dead and I couldn’t use an outlet because apparently would be like “stealing” from them.
So since I didn’t know anything about how the appeals work, and there seemed to be a pretty good chance that I would not be able to contact anyone before I had to appeal, I decided to come back here, and figure stuff out.
So after it was finally over, I was in the custody of the JR Beetle Company.
I “slept” in a holding room area thing, and when I got back here I had to pay the Beetle company a good chunk of money for the boat trip, and the security guards that apparently had to stand outside my door all night.

@Sam
Haha yeah I know.
I better do my research before I try and go back huh…
god…shit was ridiculous.
Hopefully it was just bad luck getting that specific guy.
Some of the things he asked, I just wanted to say “Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?”
When I told him I went to a Japanese language school he asked if I had any textbooks so I showed them to him.
He took a look at my first book (which I finished). The cover is taken off and there are doodles on the front, he starts flipping through the pages and says “Looks new, I can seem to find which pages you’ve studied.”
Whenever he got to one where I had written down vocab or something, he would quickly flip past it.
I tried to show him these pages he just didn’t seem to care.

Nadja um 15:34 am 27. Januar
oh, no! are you ok.. or do we have to worry?

Lars um 15:39 am 27. Januar
No, no need to worry.
I’m fine.
Just a bit irritated.
I’m gonna try and come back before the weekend.
Until then, I’m just getting as many documents as I can to try and prove to the immigration people that I’m not a terrorist or drug dealer etc.

Samuel um 17:22 am 27. Januar
sounds like that guy was trying to get you to go terrorist on him.

Michal um 20:07 am 27. Januar
Fucking idiot that guy… Hang in there buddy… We’ll try to keep you company on Facebook at least so you don’t get bored…
Did Genki do anything finally or not?

Lars um 20:35 am 27. Januar
We’re working it out.
When I left, Evan gave me a letter of guarantee.
But it didn’t seem to mean much to the guy.
So I think they’re going to write me another letter.
